Cool Black Spring Loaded Prewar Style Bicycle Drop Stand for 26" Tire / Wheel Bicycles. Stand is a New Import Quality Steel Drop Stand that will support your bike in a fashionable up right and sturdy position. The stand attaches to your rear axle, and has 2 positions Up and Down, the Down also has a lock feature to lock it in place. Drop stand measures approximately 14 1/2" from axle to the bottom of the stand and the base of the stand is approximately 10" wide. We
like and use these stands for Our Prewar Schwinns, Antique Bicycles. and Custom Choppers when we want an Cool Unique Functional Kick Stand. These Drop Stands are universal for most any 26" wheel bike with a 3/8" or similar axle, but instillation can take a clever and intuitive installer to make it fit properly. The Drop stand attaches to the axle and to keep the stand in place it is important to align the tabs to keep it from spinning under pressure. It's all about a secure mount to the axle and find that this works great on fender less bikes and can be challenging on bikes with fenders.  Not Suggested for Prewar Bikes with Drop Stands Tabs and multiple speed systems can prove challenging. Very Cool useful drop stand but you may need a little thought and skills to install properly and in most cases ( Like Prewar Schwinn ) we cut off the middle tab for a better fit. We Really like the Quality, Look, and Performance these Drop Stands but since it's a universal stand and no bike is the same we can only recommend this to a consumer with a clever skill set.
