This 49” tall walking stick BLANK is made of layered laminations of poplar wood, so it is perfect for carving that double axe head, winged bird, or what have you?  Yet this stick withstood 1,000 # of compressive load test, so what ever you carve is more than strong enough for self-defense use.  What can you envision in the blank slate this carving medium provides?  The shaft is 1 3/16” by 1 ¼” square, and 45” tall, and the integrated head is 8.5” by 4”, bringing the overall height of the stick to 49”!  Look at the photo’s – virtually NO shaft deflection under 1,000# of load.
We can build to any length that you need – our 45” tall canes are still testing to 1,000 pounds of load, with virtually NO SHAFT DEFLECTION.  We also have a large oak laminated cane just out of the press, with a 5.5" by 8" head and a 1 1/8" square shaft, ripe for a whopping crook.
